Perfectionism can hold you back from your dream life

Take the first steps no matter how "imperfect" it feels
If I learned one thing, it is this: You gotta let go of perfectionism.
I was a perfectionist. So much that I would spend days, weeks and months to plan before I start. And guess what? That kept me away from my dream life and even my manifestations.
I remember one night when I fell back into the trap of perfectionism and I just tried to post something on social media. It was not perfect but I just gave it a try. Something inside of me wanted to express herself. And I’m not joking. That night I had so many new insights and ideas. I was even drawn to an online course called "marketing for your soul business" and I was blown away. That was the moment I learned so much. And yes my post was not “ideal” but I kept it there. I allowed myself the “imperfection” and instead of seeing the imperfection, I see the improvement and evolution of myself. And that baffled me.
It was the first time I saw how much I have grown rather than condemning myself how shit that old posts were. And who knows. My soul clients might face exactly that situation too and they are looking for the solutions that I was looking for as well. And so we constantly help and support each other in our growth and journey. Look, I was drawn to that marketing course, it was exactly what my soul guided me to and it was beyond what I thought I would learn and need. I had taken marketing courses before but none came close to this one. It blew my mind. And it really brought me further. The next day I could finally get going. With many new insights, learning lessons, ideas and perspectives.

So I encourage you to just start, start imperfectly. I realised from my life, if we don’t start and wait for the perfect moment or in my case, the until I figured out the perfect strategy, we may never get there. So I saw it as a process. A process of growth. And growth doesn’t happen overnight. I mean it can. But overall it’s a process. Success consists of many little steps. Steps that bring us new insights and we can adjust and take a next step. But without taking some steps, we may not see what’s in front of us. And I realised we do not need to see all the stairs and the whole way that's in front of us, we just need to see and take the next step. And trust. Trust that we are guided.
Behind perfectionism is often fear. And fear stems from the mind. So we gotta learn to deal with it. Look at it. It’s not enough to say “well it’s just because im a perfectionist. I’m just the way I am” well if you’re happy the way you are then that’s fine indeed. But if you’re looking for change and transformation, it’s a sentence to get rid of. And rather turn it into “I can see that I have this pattern of perfectionism. What’s behind it, why do I have it? How can I release it?” That's how I approached perfectionism. And nowadays I am proud that I am far better in allowing myself to be imperfectly perfect. To see it as a creation process where I can learn and grow.
There’s nothing fixed. We can change everything as soon as we decide to do so and yet it takes courage. But I know you’re courageous or you wouldn’t have been drawn to this blog article. There’s no coincidence in this universe.
So in case you're dealing with perfectionism, I encourage you to ask yourself the same question. Because otherwise you can hold yourself back from your own manifestation or dream life and always wondering why it doesnt work. And that might be one of the reasons.
