Journal as a conscious lifestyleExplore places where you can journal, reflect and pause
Travel can be an excellent opportunity to broaden your perspectives, connect back to yourself and/or go on retreats and find like-minded people or simply take the time to find what lights your heart up and enjoy the moment.
Ubud
Cafés to relax, read & journal in Ubud
Ubud Book Club
This is a small café full of books to browse or of course your own books to bring
Clear Café
You can sit here, journal while observing their gold fish pond. I personally like their Lemon Drop but they have a wide variety of drinks and food.
Mudra
You can sit here and chill. Ideally to journal and enjoy some great art pictures. I personally like their Cacao. Cacao is said to open the heart - journalling and a cacao can have a special flair. Sometimes they offer handpan classes or live music which you can enjoy in the background.
Alchemy
This is a place to relax and journal, eat clean especially if you're vegan, join a class or just browse in their shop to support local Bali brands.
The Muse - Café & Art
For some reason, I love this place and I can relax a lot. Although you can hear some motorcycles, sitting there to journal can bring the Muse out of you. You can try the Dosa, and also I enjoyed the oven-dried veggies and their fresh Carrot juice.
Wyah Creative Space
This is a bit outside of Ubud in the middle of the jungle and I find it the perfect place to have a Cappuchino or I personally like their Roojak, a more Balinese drink. Not too sweet but not too bitter, worth trying if you're up for something more local.
Milk & Madu
If you want to start your morning with a healthy breakfast bowl, "Super Brekki" is a super sweet fruit, chia & nut bowl. You can start off your day with journalling while enjoying a super healthy breakfast.
Kucara Coffee
This is in Tegalalang north of Ubud but the scooter ride can be serene and beautiful. You can enjoy journalling and reading while overlooking the rice fields. Although it's quite basic, the view and calmness over the rice terraces can be a nice place to calm down and reflect.
Kopi Pangeran
This is a small coffee shop with a small little garden. Although the traffic is noticeable, if you don't mind the noise, it can be a place to stop, pause & reflect.
Wedja
South of Ubud, this is a place to enjoy some serenity while enjoying traditional Balinese food. This is also a hotel. You can find a moment of stillness, take out your journal and have a bite or drink one of their fresh juices.
Pyramids of Chi
They offer sound healing and various other healing techniques combining sound & vibration. You can journal & reflect over your experiences in the coffe or garden. I personally love sound healing and found it a cool experience.
Take some time off social media, journaling can be so relaxing
